SUPREME SIKH SOCIETY OF NZ

The Supreme Sikh Society of New Zealand has been actively engaged in various community projects, striving towards a common vision and goal. Over the past few years, they have successfully completed significant initiatives, including the Sikh Heritage School, Childz Choice Preschool, a Gurdwara, and international-level sports fields. Amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the society played a crucial role in supporting those in need by providing food parcels and essential services. Their dedication and impact on the community led them to be honored with the prestigious 2020 People's Choice NZ Food Heroes Award, among 340 nominated organisations. This recognition by Hon Dr Megan Woods and Anahila Kanongata'a-Suisuiki in the House further acknowledged their commendable efforts during the COVID-19 lockdown period.

NEW ZEALAND SIKH SPORTS COMPLEX

The New Zealand Sikh Sports Complex, situated on an 8.6-acre land that was once a farm filled with clay and rocks, stands as a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Sikh community. Members of the community transformed the rough terrain into a flat, usable surface by hand-picking rocks and selfless service. Initially hosting popular sports like Kabaddi, Football, Volleyball, and Tug of War, the complex evolved to meet the demands of the growing population in South Auckland and their interest in other sports. The subsequent decision to rebuild the grounds into a world-class sports facility was a pivotal step towards their goal.

The sports complex now includes an impressive array of amenities, including a natural grass Kabaddi field, FIFA approved Football field, Hockey field, 4x 100m Sprint tracks, Netball Court, Basketball Court, 2x Cricket Nets, Changing Rooms, and a Café. The most recent addition to the NZSSCT is the grandstand seating for Kabaddi, accommodating 2500 spectators, making it the first stadium of its kind outside of India.

VALUE OF ARCHITECTURAL VISUALISATION

To showcase the grandeur of the New Zealand Sikh Sports Complex and engage audiences worldwide, the use of architectural visualisation played a crucial role. Through a meticulous process involving modeling, lighting, texturing, and rendering, a life-like 3D model of the stadium, the Gurdwara (Temple) complex and surrounding natural environment was created. These visually stunning renders accurately showcased the final outcome of the project, providing more value to clients, community leaders, important Sikh members, and sports stars.
